This privacy policy refers to the Pencil! app installed on Meta Quest devices:

Only anonymous analytics and error logs are collected (which features are used most, status when the app crashes, etc) to help improve the experience and resolve bugs.

No personal data (e.g. e-mail address, IP address, …) is stored in any of these logs or analytics.

Data We Collect

When you use Pencil on Meta Quest, the app collects and processes the following data through Meta’s Platform Features and APIs:

1. User ID

• What is collected: A platform-provided, unique, non-public User ID associated with your Meta account.

• How it is collected: Automatically provided by Meta’s platform services when you launch the app.

• How it is used:

  • To associate in-app progress, settings, and entitlements with your account

  • To enable core app functionality and personalization

  • To support customer support requests and debugging

2. In-App Purchase (IAP) Data

• What is collected: Information related to purchases made within the app (such as product identifiers and entitlement status).

• How it is collected: Provided by Meta’s In-App Purchase and entitlement systems.

• How it is used:

  • To unlock purchased content and features

  • To verify ownership of paid content

  • To restore purchases across sessions

Pencil does not collect or store payment details such as credit card numbers. All payments are processed by Meta.

3. User Age Information

• What is collected: Age-related information or age group classification as provided by Meta’s platform.

• How it is collected: Supplied by Meta based on the user’s account settings.

• How it is used:

  • To ensure age-appropriate content and experiences

  • To comply with platform policies, safety requirements, and applicable laws
